       Organisation of the University
The Spiritwood University is a loosely organised collection of staff, students, scholars and friends. Some will proudly bear the University badge upon their breast (The SWU guild tag), while others may either carry the name of their own guilds or be fully independent. One need not become a full member of the University to take part in its program, although those wishing to teach under the name of the University will need to prove their honour before being invited to offer activities under our name.

Attending the University

One can attend or join the University in any of the following ways.
  • As a guest in any of the open courses and workshops offered by the University
  • As a resident student enrolled full-time in the University. (On the SWU Guild-stone)
  • As a faculty or staff member of the University. (On the SWU Guild-stone)
The benefits and privileges accorded to guests, students and faculty are of course different.

Guests have no special privileges accorded by the University and must abide by its laws and codes of conduct while in attendance.

Students are offered materials and equipment necessary to help them get established in their chosen school of study. As they advance in their studies, students are expected to make donations to keep the University stocked in order to help with the costs of those coming to the institution after them.

Upon graduation students are free to leave the university and join other guilds or communities, or they may choose to become postgraduate students and join the University staff or faculty.

Postgraduate students may also apply for special grants and funding for research projects and programs.
